This year, we have seen revitalised T1 coming back into the scene after their disappointing run in 2018. They rebuilt their team back in 2019 and has since field in Top laner, Canna, Jungler, Oner and Support, Keria. This put them together with veterans such as Gumayusi and Faker who have been long time veterans. With a mixture of young talent, Keria who was signed from DRX, they have managed second place against DAMWON Gaming in the LCK Summer Split 2021 Finals with 3-1 scoreline.

Since then, T1 has been picking up their pace with their current lineup and were dominant throughout the group stages, having won five out of six games in a best of one. Their only game which they have lost is China top seed, EDward Gaming. This place them one of the hot favourites to secure another trophy under his belt. Having already won three major World Championships (2013, 2015 and 2016) including two Mid-Season invitations, he is gunning for his fourth collection. T1 will have not only experience for the veterans, they will also bring in agility of the youth members to suppress Hanwha Life Esports. The lost two games to PSG Talon and Royal Never Give Up and was placed second in Group C.

Having previously lost to T1 in the LCK Spring Finals 2021 in the best of five, T1 looks set to capitalise on their winning record against Hanwha Life Esport.
