Cloud9, the last North America team which barely made it out from Group A after being forced into a three-way tiebreaker. They scrapped through with a win against Rogue and are now facing Gen.G Esports, which somehow struggled in their own Group. Although Gen.G Esports is one of the South Korean powerhouse, they were somewhat inconsistent throughout the Group Stages. After going into a four-way tiebreaker, Gen.G Esports eventually emerged having defeated Team Liquid and MAD Lions to qualify to the Quarterfinals.
Gen.G Esports lineup:
- Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee – TOP
- Kim “Clid” Tae-min – JUNGLE
- Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong – MID
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk – BOT
- Kim “Life” Jeong-min – SUPPORT

- Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami – TOP
- Robert “Blaber” Huang – JUNGLE

Gen.G Esports and Cloud9 will likely end up in a bloody brawl with both sides trading punches to the death. It is likely Gen.G will have the last laugh as the South Korean veteran would have awaken their Chakra and bring Cloud9 at the last match.
