The upcoming Singapore Comic Con 2021 will begin on 3 December 2021 to 2 January 2022! Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) has always been more than just an event, it is a community where thousands of fans across South East Asia come together to celebrate their love for all things fandom.
However, this coming event will be held virtually completely. This means that there will be no physical convention which is contrastingly different from the past events. The SGCC, previously known as Singapore Toys, Games & Comic Convention, last held its convention in 2019. You can check out the last event here.
This year, the event will be packed with lots of content ranging from comics, e-sports and table-top competitions. There will also be lots of merchandise and promotions up for grabs! This virtual event will be free to attend and will run between 3 December 2021 to 2 January 2022.
Esports Entertainment Asia (EEA) will be partnering with Singapore Comic Con’s organiser, Generation Experience to co-host the Asia Esports Festival at the Singapore Comic Con 2021. The eSports event will be featuring a list of exciting eSports games throughout the weekends of Singapore Comic Con 2021. The eSports titles will be live streamed on the following dates.
- Dota 2 (3-4 Dec 2021)
- Valorant (9-10 Dec 2021)
- Call of Duty Mobile (11-12 Dec 2021)
- Mobile Legends Bang Bang (16-17 Dec 2021)
- Pokemon Unite (18-19 Dec 2021)
- Counter Strike: Global Offensive (22-23 Dec 2021)
These games will be competed online and live streamed via SGCC’s online virtual platform. The grand finals of these games will be played live at EXP, Singapore’s largest Esports Center, situated at the Kallang Wave Mall.
The Asia Esports Festival last held in September 2019, is a mega-esports festival which features a broad list of video games and organises several eSports tournaments. The games that were held in the previous tournaments were Mobile Legends Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Dota Underlords. The organisers of Asia Esports Festival aims to bring esports entertainment and youth pop-culture to the Southeast Asian region.
