With the school holidays approaching, IKEA has organised a DOTA 2 competition for all. Besides just selling furniture, IKEA has collaborated with Republic of Gamers (ROG) and released an exciting range of gaming furniture suitable for all gamers!
The competition will be begin from 17 November – 20 November and is split into two different categories based on MMR.
Gamers with MMR 3360 and above will belong to the Professional category while gamers with MMR3359 and below will be under Casual category.
All participants compete in a Single Elimination bracket -a single loss results in elimination from the tournament.
- Game Mode – 1v1 Solo Mid
- All Qualifying matches are played on a single map. (Best of 1)
- All Semi-Finals and Finals are played on a single map. (Best of 3)
- Tournament draw is done randomly by the system.
Players in the Professional category stand to win greater prizes such as the $2,000 IKEA gift card with ROG Strix XG17AHP Portable Gaming Monitor worth S$999! Other prizes include $500 IKEA gift card and $300 IKEA gift cards for runner ups.
For the Casual category, players also get to win the $1,000 IKEA gift card including a two-piece ROG Set that features a Claymore II Wireless Keyboard and a Gladius III Wireless Mouse that’s worth a total of S$618! Runner ups will be rewarded with $500 IKEA gift card and $300 IKEA gift cards.
The finals on 20 November will be held at IKEA Tampines outlet and visitors who spend over $200 on home furnishings on that day will receive a limited special tote bag. However, take note that there will be a lot of gaming activities on 20 November at all IKEA outlets’ gaming booth! An emcee will be present at each gaming booth to give out attractive prizes! Give the correct answers to the trivia on topics such as the IKEA Gaming range, ROG and DOTA 2 to win!
- IKEA Tampines: 11am – 6pm (Emcee: 11am – 6pm)
- IKEA Alexandra: 11am – 6pm (Emcee: 2pm – 6pm)
- IKEA Jurong: 11am – 6pm (Emcee: 2pm – 6pm)
